5K a year 14 days ago 14 days ago 14 days ago Job Summary The primary responsibility of this position is to analyze price competitiveness and maintain the pricing database to maximize revenue and profitability, provides administrative and analytical support for purchasing operations and purchasing program activity lead.
The agent will perform ongoing analyses to forecast the impact of suggested changes.
Responsibilities & Duties Purchasing MRO items to replenish warehouse stock.
Entering Purchase Orders in JDE (based on approved requisitions).
Email Purchase Orders to Vendors.
Obtaining quotes (price and lead times) for MRO items and services.
Checking on Open Purchase Orders and close as directed.
Expediting MRO items.
Working with Accounts Payable on invoicing discrepancies.
New Vendor Setup/Credit Applications.
Perform other duties as directed by Management.
Required Knowledge, Abilities & Skills High School Diploma or Equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in Purchasing (required).
Working knowledge of ERP Procurement module (JDE preferred).
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Highly organized, with focus on process and time management discipline.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands Willingness to work around dust, chemicals, high pressure, high temperature, loud noises, and running equipment.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel toed boots and hearing protection).
Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs.
Special Attention The position is safety and security in nature.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
